Welcome
Welcome to Bible Study Questions. We are glad you are here and
hope the answers provided are of some assistance in your own quest
of God. We offer these brief answers as opinions and trust that
you... like the Berean Jews in Acts 17:11, will test everything with
Scripture.
Life has many mysteries and we often hear, "If God exists, why
doesn't He reveal Himself?" But it seems He has revealed Himself in
many, many ways and if we want to know Him more, He is waiting for
us to pursue Him with our time and energy. Do we reveal ourselves to
any random observer? Do we pour out our heart to the neighbor
walking the dog? Do we reveal our hidden pain to the casual
questioner? We reserve our deepest self to those who seek us out and
treasure what we reveal. Perhaps we are this way because we are made
in the image of God.
God also waits for the seeking voice, the asking heart, the
questioning soul. His clues and invitations to relationship are
everywhere. They are found in the songs of the birds, the beauty and
scent of the rose, and he calls to us in the warmth of the sun on
our face. As CS Lewis also pointed out, God whispers to us in our
pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains:
It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world."
God offers a peak into Himself in what He created.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work
of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after
night they reveal knowledge. (Psalm 19:1,2)
He invites us to pursue Him and learn. He promises if we ask, He
will answer. That's why you are here isn't it? You hear the call of
God and are asking questions. You want more answers. We believe this
is because God is tugging on your heart too! Even if you're mad at
Him or wrestling with hard truths, you are seeking!
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all
your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13) Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call on him while he is near. (Isaiah 55:6) O taste and see that the
Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear
the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no
want. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who seek
the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing. (Psalm 34:8-10)
We believe the Bible provides God's answers to our deepest questions
and provides His direction on how to have an abiding relationship
with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We hope that this website
helps shed some light on your own quest for God as you RSVP to His
awesome invitation.
At that time Jesus said, I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven
and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and
learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this
is what you were pleased to do. All things have been committed to
me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one
knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to
reveal him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I
will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I
am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew
11:25-29)
